"An athlete in motion should stay in motion"

Thursday Night Lights! 07/02/2009

WOMEN'S 10 lap POINT-A-LAP

In this version of a points race, one point is awarded on each lap--only to the first rider across the line.  LINSEY HAMILTON was able to secure two points (and 3rd place) early in the race before the Dahlmann sisters predictably rode away with the rest of the points.

WOMEN'S KEIRIN

Tongiht, this motor paced race was the crowd favorite.  SANDY GRESS rode an impressive keirin heat against several veteran women, securing herself a place in the final and was joined there by HAMILTON.  The exciting finishing sprint came down to one centimeter with HAMILTON second to Heidi Dahlmann.

WOMEN'S POINTS RACE

HAMILTON dominated the early half of the race winning 3 of 4 sprints but had to pull out of the race with 9 laps to go.  With HAMILTON off the track, GRESS demonstrated her point racing prowess with an impressive win at the final sprint--securing her first vistory at the track!

Synergy wins Great Alexandria Stage Race

Synergy's Joe Lewis takes Saturday's stage and holds on for the overall win by a mere second at a hot and humid Great Alexandria Bike Race this past weekend.

With the help of Adam Hanson, Matt Muyres, Stick LaVick and Chad Christenson, Joe was able to make up the time he lost in Sunday morning's TT with a strong effort in the afternoon circuit race.

Congratulations to Team Synergy for the victory and best team representation at the event.
